HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM

Today would have been my moms 74 Birthday. For as long as I can remember my mom had this birthday poem she would say on our birthdays. As we got older it got to be annoying and we always teased her about it and it irritated her as we made fun of her saying it. What I would give to be able to hear her say it today.

She always said I never said it just right, but this is how I remember it:

Many happy returns for the day of thy birth
May sunshine and gladness be given
May your heavenly father prepare thee on earth
For a beautiful birthday in Heaven

I know she is having a beautiful in heaven today.

what a wonderful family your mom has. I know you miss her terribly, and that this is a bittersweet day. Hold on to those memories, and what fun it will be to see her in heaven.

Dear Lisa:

I opened up the Blog today and WOW, what a great Birthday picture of your Mom and some of those who always helped to make it very special for her!! She was indeed one of those "Special Mom's" who always made sure no-one's special day was ever ignored! The day she left us to spend all her future B'days in heaven with Jesus and the Father, was the day she got that "new body" that will never know the effects of even a million times a million more birthdays. Four days ago was my Mom's birthday, her 25th Birthday since she also went to heaven, in September 1984. I am sure they have already gotten well acquainted by now. (I'm glad your Mom didn't find out "all about me" until She met my Mom in Heaven!! HA!) Like I told you before, you, Sandy & Karen had the privilege of having one of the most precious Moms that ever lived! There never was any question as to how much she loved you three girls and all of your families!! Bless you as you remember this special Lady on this Special Day!! Love always, AR

I'm so glad you had such a wonderful, special Mom and yet I'm so sad that she is not here to be with you today on her special day. We know she is in Heaven and having the most wonderful day but yet it is so hard on you here! I wish I had the words but I don't except I'm so sorry and you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. We love you!

I am so grateful to have such a wonderful family who cares so much about me. i know how much grandma loved me and us and i know she knows how much i and we loved/love her too. i cannot wait to see her in Heaven.. it will be the greatest day of my life. this was the sweetest note ever and even though that poem got so annoying and old i'm just like you and would do anything to hear form her again! i love you so much mom.

I have been thinking about you a lot this week and opened mark's blog to catch up a bit...I loved your post and can't imagine what you face as each special day rolls around with out your Mother. What courage you have to keep facing it and keep remembering outwardly. It must help you get thru this as you look around and see how much you are loved by others and your children. I didn't know your mother but, I have watched the mother you have become...which is, amazing...so I am sure she was too. We love you and our prayers are still with you.
